Climbing is dangerous. There is really no way around it. When we climb we take calculated risks and then we do everything possible to minimize our exposure to them. I think the best way to minimize exposure to climbing risks is to continually learn new safety techniques and to continually evaluate if my climbing system can be improved upon. This page is my attempt to share climbing educational resources that I find interesting. Maybe you’ll add them to your toolkit maybe you won’t but it doesn’t hurt to know about a technique.
One thing I ask is if you disagree with a technique please leave a comment and explain why. You’d be surprised at the number of people that use this blog as a resource and your comment will actually impact the techniques that that people adopt in the mountains.
As always climb safe.
